For intent and purposes of seeking Spirituality and peace; a visit to Sri Datta Venkateswara Kshetram is a must and the experience is profoundly soothing. This temple for Lord Venkateswara is a packet of pulsating Divine Energy for a pilgrim.
- As we enter the holy shrine, We enjoy the similarity between the Holy Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Temple and this holy shrine at Mysuru. The pilgrims are greeted by the imposing idols of Jaya and Vijaya, two Dharma Chakra’s resembling those of the Jagannatha temple of Puri (ORISSA) and the forms of Anjaneya and Garuda. While we do Pradakshina (circum ambulation – clockwise walking around the temple), we enjoy the serene beauty of the Ananda Vimana (the tower above the main shrine of Datta Venkateswara) as also the inspiring grandeur of the wonderful sculptures depicting the history of Sri Venkateswara, finely arranged around the roof of the temple hall.
Siddhi Vinayaka situated in a separate shrine on the southern side of the temple blesses us gracefully. As we proceed further, we see ” Bayalu Anjaneya”, the idol of the deity situated at the south west corner of the premises in the open space. Here devotees offer a coconut, for the fulfillment of their desires.
The Lord of Seven Hills has descended in Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Ashrama , due to the penential power of Sri Swamiji. Thousands of devotees visitthis auspicious complex, to offer Puja in the Temples of Sri Datta Venkateswara Swamy, Goddess Padmavati (Maha Lakshmi), Dhanvantari, Sarva Doshahara Shiva, Sree Marakata Subramanya Swamy, Lord Karyasiddhi Hanuman and Navagraha.
